Sled zmajeve tace - Slovenian edition of my first novel

This weekend Pogranicze / Borderland Foundation in Sejny celebrate 25 years jubilee. Saturday evening we will hold a Cafe Europa session in the White Synagogue. Unfortunately that evening will be filled with memories of our dear friend and colleague Aleš Debeljak who died in traffic incident at the beginring of this year. In cooperation with Ms.Sonja Dolžan I have published a Slovenian translation of my novel Yellow Snow as a modest memorial contribution. So, Ms. Dolžan and me dedicated this edition to the memory of dear man and great artist Mr. Aleš Debeljak. The eBook could be downloaded for free on this link with use of this coupon code: DJ68F (valid until June 1st).

CAFÉ EUROPA - BOSNIA GENERATION / April 30th in The White Synagogue in Sejny/ The idea of a wandering artistic and literary café came in response to the need to create a forum for discussion and cooperation between creative writers and artists, who met for the first time during the war in the former Yugoslavia. The founders of Café Europa believed the tragedy of the bloody disintegration of the multicultural community, symbolized later by Bosnia, announced the beginning of a crisis likely to spread to other borderland cities and regions. They wrote and worked on the topic, participated in public debates and social actions. During their numerous meetings of Café Europa (Amsterdam, Stockholm, Krakow, Sejny, Poznan, Bucharest, Iowa, Warsaw, Barcelona, Zaragoza, New York, Sarajevo), they expanded the scope of the exchange of ideas and creative cooperation and involved local writers and artists, as well as initiated debates in the media. And although, sometimes, the theme of these meetings were various urgent problems of our modern times, an important point of reference for them has always been the generational experience of the tragedy of Bosnia. Therefore, the group started to be referred to as the Bosnia Generation. Our meeting will be attended by: Mileta Prodanović (Belgrade), Magda Cârneci (Bucharest), Peter Jukes (London), Chris Keulemans (Amsterdam), Nino Žalica (Amsterdam), Rolandas Rastauskas (Vilnius), Eugenijus Ališanka (Vilnius), Christopher Merrill (Iowa), and Zbigniew Machej (Cieszyn). Special guests: Erica Johnson Debeljak (Ljubljana) and Lukas Debeljak (Ljubljana). Music: HoTS Jazz Quartet / Harmony of The Spheres Hosted by: Krzysztof Czyżewski.
